JIm Bettridge, R.S.

Lead Designer

An on-site sewage facility designer with over 25 years of design, permitting, and field experience.  Jim began his septic career in 1990 on the installation side of the business. His experience in the field is unique because it is rare for a designers OSSF experience to come from the installation industry.  He also has a unique distinction in that he was an irrigation contractor for several years and still holds an irrigators license.  His irrigation design and installation experience enhanced his understanding of complex piping systems, proper irrigation techniques, and pumping systems.  Jim is dedicated to providing customers with designs for the best OSSF that can be installed on their site.

Alex Carter

Project Manager

Alex is responsible for drafting detailed site plans and preparing septic permit applications for submission to the appropriate jurisdiction. In addition to supporting project permitting, she works to improve the efficiency of the company by managing the website and job board, ensuring that information is accurate, organized, and accessible. With a strong focus on detail and accuracy, Alex helps ensure that projects move smoothly from start to finish.

When Alex isn’t working, she’s busy keeping up with her husband, Shane, and their two kids, Jaxon and Britton. She also gets to work alongside her dad, Jim Bettridge—which means plenty of early morning chit chats and afternoon coffees disguised as “meetings.” Working together has brought them closer, and while they get the job done, they have just as much fun hanging out as a family.

KELSE BETTRIDGE

Project Manager

Kelse joined the family business to enhance quality control and efficiency. She is responsible for scheduling, and serves as the key liaison between customers, Bettridge Systems, and permitting authorities. Her role ensures that projects run smoothly, timelines are met, and communication is clear and effective throughout the entire process.

When Kelse isn’t working, she’s with her husband Jay and their two dogs, Willie and June—usually out on a walk, enjoying the outdoors, or curled up at home. She loves that her work brings her even closer to family, getting to share the day-to-day with her father-in-law and sister-in-law. It’s a mix of teamwork, plenty of laughs, and the kind of support that makes business feel personal. Away from the office, Kelse enjoys cooking, hunting down new coffee shops, and is cherishing this exciting season as she and Jay prepare to welcome their first daughter in March.

WHAT IS AN OSSF?

An OSSF is an On Site Sewage Facility, more commonly referred to as a septic system.  It is how we capture and dispose of the wastewater from a home or business on a site that is not served by a sewer system.  It is also intended to only serve the building on the site and not others off site.  This is an important distinction when planning for your facility because the ownership of the building/s, property, and system must all be a single common entity.
